Insulation Solutions
External Wall Insulation: We apply insulation to the exterior walls of your home to create a thermal barrier that keeps heat in during the winter and out during the summer. This not only improves comfort but also enhances the appearance of your home. Click here to see more.
Loft Insulation: We install high-quality insulation in your loft to prevent heat from escaping through your roof. Loft insulation works like the lid to a cozy tea pot. Instead of the heat escaping though the roof it remains inside, This can significantly reduce your heating costs and make your home warmer in the winter.
Internal Wall Insulation: If you have converted your loft into living space, we can insulate the slopes and ceilings to ensure that your room in the roof is both energy efficient and warm for the winter.
Cavity Wall Insulation: If your home has a gap between the outer and inner walls of the building, EEH-Solutions, as a registered installer, can install insulation material in between the gap, confining heat. The average homeowner can save between £100 and £370 on energy bills depending on the size and age of the home.

CAVITY WALL INSULATION FAQ
-
Is my House Suitable for Cavity Wall Insulation
Before the installation, the installing firm will undertake an assessment of your property to confirm that it is suitable for insulation. This assessment may be undertaken by a surveyor or the Technician before installation.
-
Why should I choose CWI?
It is one of the most effective ways of improving the energy efficiency of your property, having a number of benefits over other more traditional means of insulation, such as cavity fill or insulated dry lining.
-
How long does it take?
Cavity wall insulation normally takes around two hours to install, but the time does depend on the size of the house and other factors, such as access.
-
Will I Have to Leave My Home Whilst the CWI Work Is Carried Out?
No. There is no reason why you will need to leave your home when filling CWI.
-
How much will I save on my heating bills by installing CWI?
The Energy Savings Trust estimates that up to ⅓ of the heat generated internally in a poorly insulated house can be lost through the walls and roof. Therefore, an installation of CWI can reduce heating costs up to around 40%.
LOFT INSULATION FAQ
-
Which type of loft insulation is the best for me?
It depends on your loft’s accessibility, existing insulation levels and budget - for instance, loose-fill insulation is more ideal for hard-to-areas and a less accessible loft. EEH-Solutions can assist you with this choice.
-
Will previous loft insulation need to be removed before adding more?
This depends on the type and condition of the existing insulation - if it is in good condition and meets the recommended thickness (270mm), it may only need to be topped up. However, if it is damaged or insufficient, it is best to remove and/or replace.
-
Will my loft insulation affect my roof warranty?
This is unlikely to happen, however you may wish to check your roof warranty terms or consult EEH-Solutions if you have any concerns.
-
Do I need to clear my loft before installation?
Yes, you will need to clear the loft of items and stored objects before we can install Loft Insulation.
-
How long does it take to install Loft Insulation?
It takes up to 2 hours to install Loft Insulation in an average three-bedroom house. Larger homes and bungalows may take a little longer as they have a bigger loft space.
-
What if my loft is (or could be) converted into a bedroom/living space?
We can advise you on possible solutions. We may be able to quote for insulating the roof of the loft, instead of the floor, using internal insulation boards between the roof rafters.
INTERNAL WALL INSULATION FAQ
-
Do I need planning permission for Internal Wall insulation?
No, planning permission isn't usually required for insulation installation.
-
What are the different types of internal wall insulation?
Common types include rigid insulation boards (PIR or mineral wool) and blown-in insulation (cellulose or mineral wool).
-
Will the insulation make my house space smaller?
Yes, some space will be lost due to the thickness of the insulation, but it's a small trade-off for the benefits gained.
-
How can I prepare for IWI work in my home?
We will work with you to ensure you’re prepared for the installation.
Firstly, we will undertake a variety of detailed surveys of your home and, depending on the type of IWI
system being used, we will plan the order in which the energy efficiency improvements will be carried out
on your home. Works will be done on a room-by-room basis, so we will need you to remove all personal
belongings out of the room until the installation has been completed in that area.
